MD Picker (hereinafter "Service") values the protection of users' personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how the Service collects, uses, and retains user data.

1. Information Collected and Method of Collection

The Service consists of a Chrome Extension and a web service. The following information is collected to provide the Service.

• Page Content (Markdown conversion data): The content of the web page requested for conversion is processed entirely within the user's local device and copied to the clipboard. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Email Address and Google Account Identifier: When signing in with Google (OAuth 2.0), your email address and Google account unique identifier (Google ID) are collected and stored on our servers. Your email address is also collected separately when joining the waitlist.
• Session Information: To maintain your login state, a session identifier and expiration timestamp are stored on our servers.
• Payment and Subscription Information: When purchasing a paid plan, information such as subscription status, plan type, license key, payment date, amount, currency, and refund status is stored on our servers. Sensitive payment details (e.g., card numbers) are handled directly by our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) and are not stored on our servers.
• Anonymized Usage Statistics: To improve the service, completely anonymized access statistics (page views, clicks, etc.) may be collected using third-party tools such as Google Analytics.

2. Purpose of Use

The information collected is used solely for the following purposes:

• Member authentication via Google login and verification of service eligibility
• Managing paid plan subscriptions and providing features
• Waitlist notifications and new feature announcements (for waitlist registrants)
• Responding to customer inquiries and support
• Processing payments and refunds, and resolving related disputes
• Analyzing service performance and improving usability

3. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. However, we share or entrust information to the following parties to provide the Service:

• Google LLC (Google OAuth): For login authentication. Google's Privacy Policy applies.
• Lemon Squeezy (Payment Processing): Your email address and other necessary information are shared when processing paid plan payments. Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy applies.
• Cloud Infrastructure Providers: We use cloud infrastructure services for server operation and data storage.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

4. Retention and Deletion of Information

• Account information (email, Google ID, sessions): Deleted promptly upon account deletion request.
• Waitlist email: Deleted immediately upon unsubscribe (via unsubscribe link) or deletion request.
• Payment and subscription records: Retained for up to 5 years in accordance with applicable laws, then deleted.

5. Data Security

We take standard security measures including HTTPS encrypted transmission and session token expiration to protect your data. However, no data transmission over the Internet or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
